Since I’d like to make a career in the industry, to me it feels slightly in bad taste. I’ve considered only rating books I enjoyed, but then it’s easy to tell which ones I didn’t…It’s an easy way to burn bridges that don’t need to be burned (especially because everyone seems to know everyone in publishing). And man, it’s hard to write a book, you know? I always feel a sense of camaraderie, I guess. (But keep an eye on my Instagram - I think I’m going to start posting more about books I particularly enjoyed on there.)
I’m going to pick this up again soon - apologies to anyone who’s been on the lookout for it. It died down because I’ve been exclusively editing lately, and I’m not very good at doing that in bursts like I can when I’m just writing. But TTAKS will be finished by early September, which means I need to start on book 2! So, yes. Soon!
It is!
You’re welcome to get any of my words tattooed! The illustrations were done by the wonderful Ed Stockham - I’m sure he’d be delighted, but it might be nice to get his blessing beforehand.
This is so kind! Thank you. 🌻
I don’t think you can anymore, I’m afraid. However! The manuscript is nearly entirely finished(!), and I think soon I’ll be able to post of video of me reading the first chapter.
Bug stays at home! She specifically is a very nervous girl, but I think cats in general don’t really like being removed from their “domain” - when we’re both away we just have someone come to the house twice a day to feed and play with her.
I’m not part of the official programming this year, no - still might be there as an attendee. The first proofs of TTAKS were originally meant to be released at YALC, but when the YALC deadline came I realized I just wasn’t happy with the manuscript yet. But check out Penguin’s ‘superproof’ - the first five chapters of TTAKS are included!
From the very little I know about astrology I have literally none of them.
You could theoretically “preorder” until 11:59 PM before the release date, ha. I don’t know anything about the pricing! Sorry!
No. They are all sad.
Just kidding. Mostly. Here’s an optimistic one from Graffiti:

Hamlet adaptation where Hamlet is a vlogger and all his soliloquies are breakdowns he uploads to YouTube
… I am unironically here for this
this is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen in my life
Nope. Just trying to finish this draft so I haven’t had much time for Tumblr, but the answer to that question was two words long, so.
